Jim Hjelm Bridesmaid Gown Style: JH5935

This” black tissue taffeta A-Line Bridesmaid gown” by Jim Hjelm is simply breath-taking. Between its chic figure and low-back ruffle detail, it would be any Bridesmaid’s dream to wear it. With a “pleated empire bodice”, the lines on this dress are both slimming and flattering (especially in a darker tone). Brides usually tend toward simple styles in their Bridesmaid gowns (rightfully so!), and this design offers a perfect balance between being subtle and showcased. Some Brides may worry about their guest’s attention shifting to their Bridesmaids, so they “skimp out” on dressing their featured women well. The main detail is the ruffled back, (which will be elegantly hidden during the ceremony), so don’t worry Brides, full attention will still be on you. Bridesmaid gowns tie a wedding together, and it is essential to have a classy gown to exhibit at a classy event.

My cousin, D, is getting married in October and she is teetering between a few Bridesmaid gowns-this Jim Hjelm design being one of them. I cannot wait am dying to try this one on. Since it’s a fall wedding, she is looking at coppers, browns, and other seasonal colors, but she is looking at this particular one in a Concord (a darker, hazy purple).

If D doesn’t dress us in this design, I call dibs on this Jim Hjelm for my Bridesmaids at my wedding!
